Featuring works from the Arts Council Collection, the largest loan collection of modern and British contemporary art, alongside private loans and the museum’s own collection, the exhibition explores the many facets of urban life - architecture, migration, commuting, crowds, noise, lights - that have been a rich source of inspiration to artists.
